LaMonica Green is a board certified Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, practicing out of the Atlanta Metro area. LaMonica received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hampton University (1996), and two master's level degrees; professional counseling from Argosy University (2005) and from Georgia State University (2011) in education, with a concentration in multiple and severe disabilities . LaMonica is a certified special education teacher with the state of Georgia, who specializes in emotional and behavioral disorders. LaMonica has significant experience and an incredible passion for treating children, adolescents, and adults with diverse backgrounds and ranges of concerns.
LaMonica has over a decade of experience providing effective cognitive behavioral therapy, behavior modification, person-centered approaches and play therapy techniques. LaMonica also employs mindfulness based and solution focused approaches to therapy. She has years of training in applied behavior analysis, as well as anxiety and panic disorder.
LaMonica specializes in working with youth and adolescents who struggle with stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and familial challenges. She also has extensive experience working with individuals with social, behavioral, and special intellectual developmental needs. In addition, LaMonica has also had success working with adults with anxiety, depression, stress management and social issues.
LaMonica has a passion for helping others and a knack for sharing empathy, providing clients with treatment plans specific to their needs that can be integrated into their daily lives. She have a proven track record of compassionate, effective care evidenced by awards and local community recognition such as Cobb County Educator of the Year.
LaMonica continues to educate herself by attending national and local conferences, keeping up with current therapy research, and seeking supervision.
